Caught me looking
Eyes not on the prize
Found me wanting
Deceived by worry’s lies
Life’s Author taught us
Each day has enough
Enough trouble of its own
So we the going get tough
Surprised when blind-sided
But shouldn’t be a mystery
Overfilled days steal our
strength
Not bothered with repeat
history
These Déjà vu lessons unheard
Day after day ignored
Can’t break the cycle
Without giving it to the Lord
